How do I get started?
Spend some time filling out our
questionnaire and creating a profile. Upload your pictures and write a little bit about yourself.
Can I change my profile settings once it is already up?
You can always edit your profile
simply by going to My Profile and making your changes.
To go to My Profile and make
changes:

side of the blue bar at the top of your screen
● Click My Profile from the
menu.
● Go to the Profile Interest

would like to make changes and make your changes

Can I search for matches?
No, at this time you cannot
search for matches. Because most of our members come to us looking for a strong relationship, we pride
ourselves on providing matches that we believe have the highest likelihood for success.
Is there any way that members could get my email information
without my giving it to them?
BeliefDate provides members with a
site specific email tool, Open Dialog. Open Dialog creates a unique means of online communication that
never reveals your personal email address. Disclosing personal information is entirely up to you and we do urge
you to exercise caution in making this decision.
Do you limit the amount of matches that I can receive?
We send 5 matches every 24 hours based on the
number of candidates in our pool who mirror the priorities that you described in your BeliefDate
questionnaire. If you do not feel like you are receiving enough good matches, try extending
the "Distance You Are Willing to Go for Love".
Can I change my matching preferences?
Of course. You can change all the
following information:
● Matches: If you want to
receive matches or not
● Distance: Your location as
the size of the geographic parameter you want to search
● Personal Priorities: smoking
habits, drinking habits, if you have kids, feelings about Matches with children, feelings about
having or adopting children
● Desired Age Range:
what is an ideal age
● Desired Religious: the
denominations that you are willing to consider, is this a priority to you
● Your Education Level: if
you finally finished your PhD, let your matches know
● Desired Education Level: the range of education you would like to see in your match
To edit your matching
preferences:
● Click Home on the left
side of the blue bar at the top of your screen
● Click My Matching Criteria
from the menu.
● Go to the Profile Interest
Navigator on the left side of your screen
● Click the topic where you
would like to make changes and make your changes
● Click Update
What do I do if I know I am not interested in a match?
To remove a match from its
existing location at any point in the process, send it to the Archives. Send a goodbye message if you want or
just click on the orange Archive button, available at all communication stages. Sending a match to the
Archives, allows you keep your possible candidates organized so that you can focus on the matches that
most interest you. Likewise, we remove the match from our database of possible candidates.
Can I re-open a Connection that I Archived?
Yes, there are two courses of
action for restoring an archived match. First, if you wish to restore an
archived match that did not also
archive you, just go to Archives and click on restore. Second, if you wish to
restore an archived match that also archived
you, you need to send us an email specifically requesting to re-initiate communication with that match.
Include the match's name and city and we will contact them for you.
Provided that your match also
wants to resume communication, as soon as your match gives us the go ahead we will send you an email
notification.
To request restoring an archived
match that also archived you:
● Click Help on the right
side of the top of your screen
● Click Contact us

● Request to re-initiate
communication with your match
● Be sure to include the
match's name and city

How
do I change my password?
Click on My Account Settings at the top right of your page. Click the Password/Username button. Change
your password.
What
if I forget my password?
After your third failed attempt to sign on to your account, you
will see the security question that you chose at sign up and a prompt to
answer. Give the correct answer and you will gain site entry. Follow the
steps above to change your password.
How
do I change my username?
Click on My Account Settings at the top right of your page. Click the Password/Username button. Change
your username.
Is
my information available for viewing after I terminate my account?
When you terminate your account, your information is deleted from our site. If you would just like to put matching on hold for awhile, then just de-activate your profile instead of terminating your account.

How
do I post my photo?
Its easy to post photos on your profile. Just log onto your
BeliefDate account, click on My Profile, and click on Add/ Edit Photos. Make sure
the image is cropped, retouched and sized under 4 mb before you upload it.
How
do I resize my pic?
Select a JPG, GIF or BMP file.
Using Windows
● Click
on on the Start menu, the button on the bottom left corner of
your screen.
● Select
Programs and click on Accessories,
● Scroll
down and click on Paint.
● Select
Open from the File Menu
● Select
your desired photo file.
● Now
that your image is open in Paint, go to Image.
● Scroll
down to Skew/ Stretch.
● Next
to Stretch, change both the horizontal and vertical percentages.
Using Vista
● Click
on on the Start menu, the button on the bottom left corner of
your screen.
● Select
Programs and click on Windows Photo Gallery
● Select
the photo that you want to correct and click on Fix

● Drag
the corners of the photo to make the image file smaller
What
makes a good BeliefDate photo?
Its best to submit a headshot,
a portrait style image of yourself including only your shoulders and face, for
your primary profile pic. To get a clear image and avoid shadow or blurriness,
go outside in full sunlight. Flatter yourself and wear something that makes
you feel attractive. Consider hiring a professional photographer to really
make yourself stand out. And because your pictures are really to showcase you,
all your posted images must have you in them! Please remember that BeliefDate
does not accept any lewd images and reserves the right to exercise our
discretion.
Why can only premium members see photos?
At BeliefDate, we pride ourselves on providing a unique service to our members who are looking for a successful
relationship with a strong foundation. For this reason, we hold back pictures from non-premium to shift the
focus to the compatibility of members' central virtues. Moreover, we seek to differentiate ourselves from

you will exchange 3 Free Response Questions also selected from a preset list. The third step is Open
Dialog. Open Dialog is our site specific messaging tool that allows Matches to freely communicate while still

D. You may access BeliefDate Content, User Submissions and other content only as permitted under this Agreement. BeliefDate reserves all rights not expressly
granted in and to the BeliefDate Content and the BeliefDate Website.
E. You agree to not engage in the use, copying, or distribution of any of the Content other than expressly permitted herein, including any use, copying, or distribution
of User Submissions of third parties obtained through the Website for any commercial purposes.
F. You agree not to circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the BeliefDate Website or features that prevent or restrict use
or copying of any Content or enforce limitations on use of the BeliefDate Website or the Content therein.
G. You understand that when using the BeliefDate Website, you will be exposed to User Submissions from a variety of sources, and that BeliefDate is not
responsible for the accuracy, usefulness, safety, or intellectual property rights of or relating to such User Submissions. You further understand and acknowledge
that you may be exposed to User Submissions that are inaccurate, offensive, indecent, or objectionable, and you agree to waive, and hereby do waive, any legal or
equitable rights or remedies you have or may have against BeliefDate with respect thereto, and agree to indemnify and hold BeliefDate, its Owners/Operators,
affiliates, and/or licensors, harmless to the fullest extent allowed by law regarding all matters related to your use of the site.
6. Your User Submissions and Conduct
A. As a BeliefDate account holder you may submit content ("User Content"). User Content is also referred to as "User Submissions." You understand that whether
or not such User Submissions are published, BeliefDate does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any User Submissions.
B. You shall be solely responsible for your own User Submissions and the consequences of posting or publishing them. In connection with User Submissions, you affirm,
represent, and/or warrant that: you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to use and authorize BeliefDate to use all patent,
trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights in and to any and all User Submissions to enable inclusion and use of the User Submissions in the
manner contemplated by the Website and these Terms of Service.
C. For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions. However, by submitting User Submissions to BeliefDate, you hereby
grant BeliefDate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative
works of, display, and perform the User Submissions in connection with the BeliefDate Website and BeliefDate's (and its successors' and affiliates') business,
including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the BeliefDate Website (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through
any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the BeliefDate Website a non-exclusive license to access your User Submissions through the Website, and to
use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform such User Submissions as permitted through the functionality of the Website and under these Terms of Service.
The above licenses granted by you in User Content are perpetual and irrevocable.
D. In connection with User Submissions, you further agree that you will not submit material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third
party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the
material and to grant BeliefDate all of the license rights granted herein.
E. You further agree that you will not, in connection with User Submissions, submit material that is contrary to the BeliefDate, or contrary to applicable local,
national, and international laws and regulations.
F. BeliefDate does not endorse any User Submission or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein, and BeliefDate expressly disclaims any
and all liability in connection with User Submissions. BeliefDate does not permit copyright infringing activities and infringement of intellectual property
rights on its Website, and BeliefDate will remove all Content and User Submissions if properly notified that such Content or User Submission infringes on
another's intellectual property rights. BeliefDate reserves the right to remove Content and User Submissions without prior notice.
7. Subscription (Premium Membership)
A. Please read this section carefully prior to using BeliefDate's premium service (the "Services").
B. Subscribers authorize BeliefDate to charge the Subscriber's credit card (or other approved facility) provided to pay for the ongoing cost of subscription.
Payment for the appropriate services will be made by automatic debit to the Subscriber's credit card (or other approved facility). Subscribers will be automatically
renewed for a term equal to the original term upon expiration date of the then-current term at a price equal to the current regular, nonpromotional price, and continually
thereafter, unless the Subscriber terminates the subscription online in advance of the renewal date pursuant to the process set forth below. BeliefDate reserves the
right to prebill Subscriber by no more than 30 days and also reserves the right to alter the cost or timing of Subscriber's subscription at anytime. If Subscriber's card
is denied, then BeliefDate reserves the right to retry Subscriber's card at the same rate or at a lower rate at any times within the following 30 days.
Subscriber acknowledges and agrees that the authorization to charge Subscriber's credit card for services shall automatically transfer to any successors or assigns of Service
for substantially similar services at the same website. Subscriber may not assign or transfer his or her subscription to any other person or entity. You must be
at least 18 years old (or have the permission of a credit card holder who is) to order subscriptions online.
C. Payment must be made by a major credit card accepted by BeliefDate. Cash will not be accepted.
The billing period ends each month on the anniversary of your activation date ("Billing Date").
If BeliefDate does not receive payment from the credit card issuer or its agent, you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand by BeliefDate. Your card issuer
agreement governs your use of your designated card in connection with the Service, and you must refer to that agreement and not this Agreement to determine your rights
and liabilities as a cardholder.
D. You may terminate your membership at any time. When you terminate your membership, your account will not be automatically renewed and your premium access will be
terminated on the expiration date. You acknowledge that BeliefDate, in its sole discretion, may terminate your use of the Service for any reason, including,
without limitation, if BeliefDate believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the Terms of Service. BeliefDate may
also in its sole discretion and at any time discontinue providing the Service, or any part thereof, with or without notice. You agree that any termination of your access to
the Service under any provision of this Agreement may be effected without prior notice, and acknowledge and agree that BeliefDate may immediately deactivate or
delete your account and/or bar any further access to the Service. Further, you agree that BeliefDate shall not be liable to you or any third party for any
termination of your access to the Service. You agree that if you are deemed a fraud risk or fall into a group that carries the potential of causing a penalty due
to fraud, then you may be charged less than the amount you agreed to for use of the Service.
E. BeliefDate occasionally offers promotional trial memberships to its Premium Services at special discounted prices. Subscribers who sign up for such trial
memberships will be automatically renewed at the posted subscription rate at the end of the trial period, unless the Subscriber cancels before the end of the trial.
F. If you start a Trial Membership, you can cancel without penalty anytime during your Trial Period. After the Trial Period ends, your Premium Membership payment will occur
and then will recur until cancelled. Each fee and associated billing timeline is listed on the billing page when you upgrade your account.
8. Account Termination Policy
A. BeliefDate will terminate a User's access to its Website if, under appropriate circumstances, they are determined to be a repeat infringer or for any reason whatsoever.
B. BeliefDate reserves the right to decide whether Content or a User Submission is appropriate and complies with these Terms of Service for violations other
than copyright infringement, such as, but not limited to, pornography, obscene or defamatory material, or excessive length. BeliefDate may remove such
User Submissions and/or terminate a User's access for uploading such material in violation of these Terms of Service at any time, without prior notice and at its
sole discretion.
9. Digital Millennium Copyright Act
A. If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any User Submission or other content infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information in writing (see 17 U.S.C 512(c)(3) for further detail):

13. Ability to Accept Terms of Service

14. Assignment
These Terms of Service, and any rights and licenses granted hereunder, may not be transferred or assigned by you, but may be assigned by BeliefDate without restriction.
15. Arbitration
Except if you opt-out or for disputes relating to: (1) your or BeliefDate intellectual property (such as trademarks, trade dress, domain names, trade secrets,
copyrights and patents); (2) violations of the Terms; or (3) violations of the no interference or unauthorized access provisions of the above ("Excluded Disputes"),
you agree that all disputes between you and BeliefDate (whether or not such dispute involves a third party) with regard to your relationship with BeliefDate,
including without limitation disputes related to these Terms of Use, your use of the service, and/or rights of privacy and/or publicity, will be resolved by binding,
individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's rules for arbitration of consumer-related disputes and you and BeliefDate hereby expressly
waive trial by jury. As an alternative, you may bring your claim in your local "small claims" court, if permitted by that small claims court's rules.
You may bring claims only on your own behalf. Neither you nor BeliefDate will participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration for any claims covered
by this agreement. You also agree not to participate in claims brought in a private attorney general or representative capacity, or consolidated claims
involving another person's account, if BeliefDate is a party to the proceeding. This dispute resolution provision will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
In the event the American Arbitration Association is unwilling or unable to set a hearing date within one hundred and sixty (160) days of filing the case,
then either BeliefDate or you can elect to have the arbitration administered instead by the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services.
Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having competent jurisdiction. Any provision of applicable law notwithstanding,
the arbitrator will not have authority to award damages, remedies or awards that conflict with these Terms of Use.

in this Arbitration section will be null and void. This arbitration agreement will survive the termination of your relationship with BeliefDate.
16. Time Limitation on Claims
You agree that any claim you may have arising out of or related to your relationship with BeliefDate must be filed within one year after such claim arose; otherwise,
your claim is permanently barred.
17. General
You agree that: (i) the BeliefDate Website shall be deemed solely based in California; and (ii) the BeliefDate Website shall be deemed a passive website
that does not give rise to personal jurisdiction over BeliefDate, either specific or general, in jurisdictions other than California. These Terms of Service
shall be governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of California, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any claim or dispute between you
and BeliefDate that arises in whole or in part from your use of the BeliefDate Website shall be decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction

First, you will fill out a questionnaire about yourself, so that we get a good idea of your basic personality
type. Spend some time thinking about yourself and consider discussing a little bit about who you are with

Once we have received your information we send a library of suitors that coincide with the answers you
indicated on your questionnaire from our database of candidates. We send you a list of your matches!
At this point, you are free to scroll through the profiles of your matches, checking out all the romantic
possibilities that may lie ahead. You can chose now to see pictures and begin communication by simply
subscribing to our service. If you chose to move forward, the primary stage of communication, Hand Shakes
and Hellos, involves exchanging 4 multiple choice questions from a preset list of 50 with your match. Next,
you will exchange 3 Free Response Questions also selected from a preset list. The third step is Open
Dialog. Open Dialog is our site specific messaging tool that allows Matches to freely communicate while still
protecting their privacy. Once you achieve Open Dialog with a match, you can be confident that you share
similar values and priorities, the foundation of a strong relationship already in place!
